Presidency Announces Death Of SA Special Duties

THE Presidency has introduced the passing of Alhaji Tijani Yusuf on Wednesday morning after a quick sickness.

Aged 63, Alhaji Yusuf, popularly known as TJ, was till his transition, the Particular Assistant (Particular Duties) to Jalal Arabi, Everlasting Secretary, State Home, Abuja.

A really likeable and unassuming gentleman, Yusuf was recognized for his glorious administrative abilities, most notably, his pivotal roles throughout Swearing-in/Oath-taking ceremonies of high appointees of the Federal Authorities earlier than Nigerian leaders.

 

In recognition of his meritorious providers, Yusuf was given the nationwide honours of Member of the Order of Niger, (MON 2006), and Officer of the Order of Niger, (OON 2012) after receiving a number of commendation letters together with one from the Archbishop of Canterbury.

 

Deployed to the State Home in 1994 from the Federal Ministry of Water Assets and Rural Improvement, he rose to the rank of Director in 2013, and retired in 2016 after many years of serving a number of Nigerian army and civilian leaders.

Following his obligatory retirement on the premise of age, he was appointed Particular Assistant to the Everlasting Secretary.

A press release by the Particular Adviser to the President on Media and Publicity, Chief Femi Adesina stated that the late Yusuf shall be sorely missed by the Administration and Workers of the State Home.

After prayers on the Abuja Nationwide Mosque, his stays have been conveyed for interment in his hometown, Minna, Niger State.
